| Started stripping my harvey ported headers today, took all old wrap off, put all parts in the shot blaster at work, and now ready to re-wrap in titanium wrap......should keep me amused for a while re-wrapping more to follow tomorrow! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] | |

| Got a JMG 20g billet turbo to fit, 650cc injectors, bigger fuel pump, harvey ported headers and harvey trick up pipe, and a few other bits. Hoping for around 400 hp :L | |

| Just make sure there's no shot left anywhere inside the headers or it'll be 1 Fk'd turbo in no time | |

| Haha cheers drew, had the inside all bunged and it's been excessively blown out with air just to make sure. But yeah don't think the turbo would be too happy with a bit of shot in there!

| Bit more done on them today, started wrapping, tried using the stainless ties that came with it but don't like it so going use stainless mig wire like Harvey did! Looking ok so far tho I think! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] | |

| After giving the inside of the headers a clean with a wire brush I noticed I couldn't see any marks from porting they just looked untouched with the original casting marks still inside, and then looking at them more thought the holes did look a bit small, tried the new genuine Subaru gaskets on and sure enough they dont look ported at all! Compaird them to some ported pictures of others I found which I've added below. I've thought about porting them myself but think I'm just going to do an exchange on them with some ported ones from as performance. Will know to look out for this one next time.....feel like a right fooking muppet lol Pics of my headers with gasket on [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]No porting here either! | Get them ported yourself, way cheaper. Sure a few of the trusted traders on here could sort you out, | |

| They have defiantly been ported mate, they have been taken to just over the exhaust port size, no need to do any larger than that or you will slow down the gas flow not speed it up, the pic from Google is a total gash job, the gaskets will never seal properly if taken out to that size.
The other pic of your headers shows the outlet side, you never port the outlet side as this will disrupt gas flow.
There are some good books on gas flowing that explain the principles behind gas flow and porting, this needs to be understood before you take a dye grinder to your headers.

| There shouldn't be any signs of marking to the ports, the whole point is that it's smooth to allow the gasses to flow easily, once they soot up you won't see any signs of a polished surface but they should feel smooth inside. | |
