My name is Steve and I thought I'd join up after finding one of your spec sheets in the paperwork of my new scoob
I'm from down south and into everything subaru ,, have built loads of subaru stuff over the years from ej20 coffee tables and turbo ash try's , right though to building a trailer from the rear end of a classic saloon ,,, iv had loads of scoobs over the years and currently own a blob wrc project , this is still being built as its taking more time and money than I ever thought I'd spend but I want it as close to a proper wrc car as I can get ,, most of the body has been changed now but its all so expensive lol ,,
Iv just traded in my forged hawkeye sti (pics to follow) as I wanted somthing newer ,, that's how I stubbed across one of your members old scoobys ,,, its a black hatchback sti with a forged 2.5 rota grids and cosworth AP's on the front , going to put a few things of my own on it soon but its a really nice car and a credit to the last owner
Sorry no pics of the hatch as yet as iv only had it a couple of days lol
My old hawkeye sti ,, its now up in Middlesbrough somewhere so if you see it its been very well looked after

Welcome to the forum mate. That'll be Hardy's hatch. The forged engine in that car has very few miles on it and was built by one of the best engine builders in the North East...Andy Kindon. CDB, 14 mm ARPs, CP Carrillo rods & Wossner pistons. Beast of an engine and the brakes to stop it as well. Had the same AP Cosworth brakes on my Hawkeye STI.
Good luck

Thanks mate, the engine was one of the reasons I went for it and ended up driving 4.5 hours each way to get it lol ,, bob rawle also gave it his approval , ill prob be removing the brakes and putting my own front and rear matching AP's on but they do work well I'm just a bit fussy and would want front and rears to match lol ,,, got a few things planned for it but I'm going to just enjoy it for a while before I start changing to much

I'd like it more or less like my hawk was but with a bit more power lol
So Planned mods are
Interior Flocked dash Damd steering wheel Defi link display
Exterior Jdm roof vent (fitted the one in the hawk so used to cutting my own roof up lol ) Front splitter Wheel colour change
Engine mods Planning on running around 500bhp eventually so its quite a long list of engine mods so ill just buy the parts over a bit of time and as they come up for the right price's
For now though I'm just going to enjoy it before I mess with it to much

Hey Domino, looks like you been very busy. Can I ask you whats that Perrin wing riser like to live with ??
I use the hatch on mine regularly and the thought of restricting its travels seems a right ball ache.
You got any pics of how far it opens now ? Do you regret doing it now its fitted etc etc ?

Yeah been busy as always but with two other Subaru projects going aswell iv got to spread the love between them all lol
To be honest there not to bad , sorry haven't got any pics with it open ,, don't regret fitting them and seems to keep the rear window a bit cleaner lol ,, only thing iv noticed is it does make the boot lid stop at head level so I did bang my head a couple of times when they were first put on but I'm used to it now and it hasn't stopped me putting anything inside mine yet and I do use it like a hatchback and often have to flip my seats down for stuff she has brought at B&Q lol
