| So after selling the Hawkeye in November i had been looking at Classic Impreza's on a daily basis. When i was growing up it was the classic Impreza i always admired, the rumble of the flat four was an amence sound as a teenage boy. Two weeks ago i spotted what looked to be a very clean classic turbo 2000, paint work looked excellent on the photos, new set of alloys with new tyres, black leather, Full service history. I was on the phone straight away, is the classic still for sale ? "Sorry it's sold" Then about a week later i seen a advert for a Subaru Impreza RB5 No 164. One owner from new, full service history, full years MOT, it had a full engine rebuilt by Subaru to the cost of other £7000 That was no were near the amount i had paid to get my Hawkeye forged ! After a few emails to the owner of the car and a healthy chat on the phone i roped Lee (braddaz13) into the three hour drive up to Falkirk, Scotland. The guy who was selling the car was 62 years old and had owned it from new, it was his twin brother we dealt with as the owner did not want to sell it ! The car was exactly as described. Test drive, checked paper work, deal was done. First test for the car was the three hour drive home, it drove faultlessly and i was very impressed for a 14 year old car. So as it stand Subaru Impreza RB5 No 164 - Pre wash ! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]The car is totally standard. There is a few issues, rust is starting to form on the rear arches and a few other parts around the car. Seats have had some wear and it needs a decent clean !!! Spent five hours on the car today cleaning it, snow form, wash, polish, dry, wax. Used auto glym HD wax and the car came up really well, sorry no photos afterwards as it was dark by the time i had finished. Plans for the car so far....Booked in with Andy Kindon for a major service and a health check, more for peace of mind than anything else. I am not going to power chase like i did with the Hawkeye, i hope not anyway | |

| The car has been to Andy Kindon's for a major service and a health check. More for peace of mind than anything else. List below is what i had done. Oil & Filter Spark Plugs Gearbox Oil Diff Oil Fuel Filter Coolant Andy was shocked with how original the car was, so original it still have the original fuel pump HRC LPH 255 ordered and fitted by Andy today.
