| Would like to introduce my new business venture firstly to the Nesf forum and its members, HYDROtek custom coatings is the process of Hydrographics or 3D transfer/water dipping it is also known as, it is a process that a transferable ink/pattern can be put onto various items made of wood/plastic/metal/glass even in some cases...example a carbon fibre dipped alloy wheel, once the wheel is brought back to its bare metal and refurb if needed, it then goes through the prep stages......primed/smoothed/base coated at this stage it is ready for dipping, the carbon pattern is placed on top of the water in a specialised tank that heats the water at a certain temperature to hydrate the film, then a activator is sprayed over the film that reacts to it breaking it down to a floating jelly that just leaves the ink on the water surface, the alloy can then be dipped through this and it coats the wheels surface leaving a carbon fibre effect, after a drying stage it is then clear coated to give it a protective coat that is as durable as a spray painted job, hope this has given you abit of insight into wot am doing but if you have any questions just give me a shout, cheers for looking guys n girls......... I will leave this picture of a few ford wheels I done this wk cause sometimes pictures speak louder than words [img] [/img] Cheers for looking any questions let me know..... This doesn't just stop at alloy wheels the options are endless and so are the patterns :0) | |

| Awesome mate Delighted you have started that up here Lee - it was an opportunity too good to miss. Can you PM me the cost of refurb & carbon dipping my 17" standard STI alloys - currently gold and in need of a refurb, although they are at a mates paint shop for the last 4 months as he was supposed to be painting them in anthracite for me, but to be honest let's assume they are still gold and needing a refurb! I would like carbon fibre dipped - although it will be in the New Year as I have exceeded the national debt of Brazil spending on the scooby this year so far |

| Ive just been out to buy a hat so I can take it off to you Locky - I wish you the very best of luck with this business venture and have already started thinking about ways to take advantage of your skills Ive seen this first hand for mass produced items as we looked at surface coating power tools for special promo events and I visited a supplier in Italy who were coating phone cases and the like for Nokia, with everything from wood grain to cartoon characters. Very interesting process. The wheels look amazing by the way !! As you said just about anything is possible - the only limitation is the extent of your imagination. | |

| No problem lol .. we had to come down for a nose (will have to watch the magic happening at some point too) and sort out our order It's a brave thing to start up in this financial climate but with a good product you can't really go wrong - Well done and GOOD LUCK |
